Khaman Dhokla Recipe


  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp soda bicarb
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp spoon 4-5 curry leaves
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 table spoon oil


  • Firstly add gram flour, salt, green chilli paste, sugar, turmeric powder, soda bicarb and oil and stir all these ingredients well and make a smoother batter with a use of water
  • Now add little more water to it and mix it again.
  • Then add salt in it and mix it well, now apply oil over microwave dish and  immediately  put batter on it  and cover it with another plate
  • Now cook it in Microwave 6 to 8 minutes on High temperature. Once cook , turn over the dish
  • Now heat the oil for Garnishing the Dhokla and put mustard seeds, green chilli and curry leaves in it. fry it until the light color changes and pour a cup of sweet water.
  • Now take out the Dhokla from microwave, and sprinkle this oil over Dhokla.
  • Serve immediately.
